I like you

Big day, I took the kids to work for Halloween. Lochie and I were skeletons in honour of Fossils by S Sans in Carnival of the Animals. Jono was a mummy.
At work the girls put on a big show with spectacular decorations and games and a spread. The kids behaved but we were desperately exhausted upon returning home. We meant to stay at Baba Seta’s afterwards but the hurricane wind and rain put out electricity to 135,000 houses for days ahead. Lochie understood.
Overtired and finally in bed, I told Lochie a story where skeletons ended up in the Arctic and were cold, since they don’t have fat on their bodies. He insisted on a new story but I explained that you cannot just leave characters abandoned, you have to take them to safety. So a Concorde was arranged and the skeletons cuddled up and flew to Thailand.
Suddenly Lochie says, I like you. What? I like you mummy! What, sorry, I didn’t hear you Lochie. Mummy, I like you. Why do you like me? Because I love you.
